Banking with Balance: Stress Management for a Healthier Work Life

In today’s high-pressure banking environment, stress has become an unavoidable companion, especially for professionals in demanding roles. Long hours, tight deadlines, and constant precision take a toll on mental and physical health, often silently. Recognising this challenge, Oreka Diagnostics took a meaningful step forward by conducting an insightful stress management and mental wellness session at ICICI Bank, specially tailored for banking professionals.

What made this initiative truly impactful was the leadership of our Director and CEO, Dr. Pampita Chakraborty, who personally guided the session. Drawing from her extensive experience in healthcare and mental well-being, she shared practical tools and evidence-based strategies to help employees manage stress, build emotional resilience, and create a healthier work-life balance.

 

The session blended scientific insight with hands-on techniques including mindfulness exercises, breathing practices, emotional regulation, time management, and open discussion forums that allowed employees to share their concerns in a safe, stigma-free environment. A guided questionnaire helped participants reflect on their stress triggers and coping mechanisms.
